Chapter Eight

I don’t have much to say about this chapter, except that its purpose is to show that nothing in Chapter Seven was misrepresented, and that yes, the situation is as bad as originally advertised. It’s fairly common in books and movies that something bad happens, and then we fade to black, and it turns out that everything is okay. (For example, how many times in the Lord of the Rings movies do we think a main character has died, but it turns out they miraculously survived?)

So, in this chapter, we see that Rebekah is very critically injured, and it wasn’t a narrow miss.
